Honey Lip Scrub

Hi Sweets!

I haven't posted in a while... my apologies :(
But today I have a special for you all :)

Let's be real, no one wants a dry, cracked lip... and for the ladies I know wearing matte lipsticks can do some damage to our lips! I hope this recipe helps you!

Dry, cracked lips can be caused by a number of factors, including hot or cold weather, open-mouthed breathing because of illness or habit, dehydration and even allergic reactions to certain kinds of cosmetics. Although dried lips are common, they're also easy to treat--and using honey is a traditional method for healing cracked lips.

Skin that is regularly exfoliated is healthier skin, both in appearance and function. Cleansed of dead skin, it can circulate more efficiently, breathing in good nourishment and expelling toxins. It also glows, is more uniform in appearance with tighter pores, and is soft to the touch.

A DIY Honey Lip Scrub.. to exfoliate those lush lips!

History of Honey
Poultices made with a mixture of honey, milk and yeast have been used to treat serious and minor wounds and infections for centuries. The ancient civilizations of Egypt, China and Africa used honey because of its anti-fungal and antibacterial powers, according to an essay in the Michigan State University alumni magazine by Robert and Michele Root-Bernstein, based on their book "Honey, Mud, Maggots and Other Medical Marvels." In addition to being used for more serious wounds, honey was used as a remedy for dry and damaged lips.

Benefits of Honey
Honey has the power to moisturize and heal, making it an ideal treatment for parched lips. Because honey has antibacterial powers, it helps prevent infection from developing in cracked lips, according to CareFair, an online beauty and skincare resource maintained by CareFair, Ltd. Honey also hydrates your dry lips to restore lost moisture.

Benefits of Sugar
Sugar is also full of glycolic acid, an alpha-hydroxy acid that is crucial for maintaining healthy skin and is usually a key ingredient in products. The natural glycolic acid in sugar not only helps condition and moisturize skin, but protect it from toxins.
Far from clogging the skin, sugar works well to cleanse completely, so it can reduce any current body acne you may have and also help prevent further breakouts. Sugar moisturizes on its own, but as most sugar scrub recipes require oil or honey to help form a paste, it provides even further moisture and allows your skin to achieve more of its natural balance.
So what's the difference with using brown sugar as opposed to white? Brown sugar is gentler, making it ideal for super-sensitive skin.
And one big benefit of a brown sugar scrub - it smells wonderful. It has a very deep, rich smell that can allow you to completely relax and pamper yourself.

P.S. - If you want a some extra flavour you can add * 1 tsp of bubble gum flavour (your preference)
and 1 drop of food colouring (pink, blue etc) for some colour!

Use lip scrub once a week.

Mix all ingredients, they should stick together, if not add more oil/sugar until it reaches a mask scrub consistency.

Apply to lips, I usually rub mines on my lips and let it sit for a minute or two, wipe off with damp washcloth.

Shaving Cream for Sensitive Skin

Hi y'all :) Hope the week is treating everyone well so far! Today, I decided to switch it up a little with a shaving cream; natural and homemade. I know many of the ladies due to time limitations may forget to make an appointment to get their legs waxed, I know it happens :( And of course you'd have to shave before you put on those shorts or dress. Personally, for me my skin, legs always has a bad reaction to hair removal creams and gets irritated a lot with shaving. Hair Mask for Oily Hair

Hi babes! Sooo finally I'm posting a Hair Mask! Aloe Vera & Lemon Hair Mask So, I have not tried this Hair Mask that I'm about to post, I'm actually going to try this weekend when I have some spare time. I personally chose Oily Hair, well because it's a problem I currently have. As I'm growing and becoming older I've realized that my hair gets oily pretty quick without me having put anything in it !! It's very annoying as you can imagine, like I legit have to wash my hair on the same day I'm going out not even the night before! I did some research and I found a mask with two ingredients that I presently have at home which are aloe vera and lemon juice! Let's see how it goes! Aloe vera and lemon juice are both packed with nutrients that help control excess oil in the hair, while nourishing it at the same time. Also, this hair mask can also help combat dandruff, while providing shine and luster to your locks. Directions: ...
